• SATURDAY JUNE 23RD IS THE COMMUNITY PARK DAY HERE AT DOUGLAS PARK! COME OUT AND JOIN IN THE FUN HERE AT THE COMMUNITY CENTRE 

OUR PARK DAY INDOORS

We were all very sad to have had to cancel our much anticipated Park Day, 

BUT .. WE HAD A BLAST ANYWAYS!

From Face Paint , Tattoos and Balloon Creations

Dress Up and Dance Parties

 TO....

Gross Motor Galore! Hopping , Skipping, Throwing, Hula Hoops and... a Unicycle! WHAT?

We didn't let the rain stop us fishing for fun😋!

FRI-YAY

Happy Fri-YAY! 

We started our week welcoming URBAN SAFARI! 

 We watched as Lana let some big spiders crawl all over her!

We got to see a turtle eat his lunch and feel a real snake!

We made some art with our bodies!

We cared for our babies

We counted with lady bugs!

Here the Unicorns were using a tire to exercise and worked as a team to navigate it around the yard!

The orcas found sap! 

It opened up a BIG conversation and now they want to know SO SO MUCH MORE! Where does it come from? Why is it here? How does it feel?

In the Unicorn Room we spent the week learning and exploring with art work!

Not only did we paint with body parts, we tried something completely new!

We started off by reading a book about Scribbles. How our scribbles can turn into a MASTER PIECE! 

We put it to the test...Some drew shapes, some drew scribbles! By the end we had an amazing art piece!

The coolest part was we all saw something different ! Exploration of art

We finished off our week welcoming a new month but also all of our DADs! 

Douglas Park Preschool held our own Father's Day Moustache PARTY! (more pictures to come)

OUR FRIENDS USED THEIR IMAGINATION DURING OUTDOOR PLAY, MAKING OUR PLAY STRUCTURE INTO A PIRATE SHIP WHO SAILED THROUGH THE ROUGH SHARK FILLED OCEAN!

 OUR TEACHERS DECIDED TO READ US THE STORY ABOUT AN AMAZING ADVENTURE INTO THE BACK YARD POND.

THEN...

WE DECIDED TO BUILD BOATS. AFTER WEEKS OF PRACTISING FLOATING/SINKING WE PUT OUR MATERIALS TO THE TEST!!
