LAST DAYS BEFORE SPRING BREAK

SPRING IS IN THE AIR🐦🎕

THIS WAS OUR FINAL WEEK WITH OUR PLAYGROUND! WHEN EVERYONE RETURNS FROM SPRING BREAK WE WILL HAVE NO MORE PLAYGROUND 😒😒

WE HOWEVER ARE EXCITED TO BE EXPLORING OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD AND FINDING NEW AND EXCITING AREAS! 

ALSO A FEW REMINDERS FOR OUR APRIL RETURN:

• WE ARE CLOSED APRIL 2ND FOR EASTER MONDAY
• APRIL 17TH IS A PD DAY 
• GRAD PHOTO DAY FOR 4 YEAR OLDS IS ON APRIL 20TH 
• YOGA FOR UNICORN 3 AND ORCA 4 AM IS APRIL 23RD AT 9:30 AM 

LEARNING ALL ABOUT THE FLOWERS IN OUR NEIHBOURHOOD AND PRACTISING OUR GROSS MOTOR SKILLS ALONG THE BIG LOGS.

THE CHILDREN HAVE ALSO SPENT MUCH OF THE WEEK PULLING OUR PLANTS, AND PLANTING  IN OUR GARDEN. WE WANTED TO ASK EVERYONE TO PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS A PRESCHOOL GARDEN, THE CHILDREN HAVE PLANTED THE GARDEN AND THEY ALSO TAKE CARE OF THE GARDEN SO PLEASE LETS TRY OUR BEST TO CARE FOR IT BEFORE AND AFTER PRESCHOOL AS WELL! THANK YOU!!

AS YOU CAN SEE WE SPENT A LOT OF THE WEEK OUTSIDE AND HOPEFULLY THERE WILL BE MANY MORE SUNNY DAYS TO COME! WE ARE EXCITED TO CONTINUE OUR LEARNING AFTER SPRING BREAK!

STANLEY PARK FIELD TRIP

WE STARTED THIS FIELD TRIP BY SPLITING INTO TWO GROUPS. WE EXPLORED AROUND LOOKING FOR ANIMALS, BIRDS AND NESTS!  WE USED OUR SENSES LISTENING, SEEING, AND FEELING THE WORLD AROUND US.

Happy Friday Everyone!

This week Preschool has had a pretty flexible week! With the nice weather we have spent lots of time outdoors and little time inside! 

We worked on the garden, raking and planting new plants! We even had our circle time outside!

Our science this week was around our day of COLOUR! We watched as different substances separated and colours mixed and bubbled like a volcano!

And then we did it ourselves!!

We introduced a new area to our dramatic play! We have noticed a big interested in hair dresser/spa workers in a class room. We have added a hair studio!!

 On Friday was letter S day and we all read the story about Stone Soup , then we all added our veggies and then we cooked!! The soup started to boil and we all enjoyed some YUMMY SOUP!

Happy March 1st!

Updates for the month include:

• It is Ms. Seti's last day on March 2nd , so Ms. Sarah will be teaching along side Ms. Amanda in the Unicorn 4 PM class and Jessica from After care will take over Seti's position in the Orca 3 AM class with Ms. Lana until we have hired a new staff. That being said I will be having a harder time answering emails as fast or posting information due to the lack of time off the floor. Please feel free to touch base with staff at pick up and drop off or with a quick phone call for any pressing questions!
• We are also Closed for Spring Break from March 19th - March 30 , as well, We are closed for Easter Monday on April 2nd. So we will see everyone on April 3rd!

The Unicorn 3 class has picked up yoga! We have been practising a few poses to start preparing for weekly Yoga! This is the DEAD BUG pose 😅😅😅

We Also Cooked Quiche and Rice Krispy Squares for the letter of the Week Last week (Q) and this week (R)!

We have been practising our letter and word recognition in all our classes and some of our friends are even spelling there names! Check out our loose part spelling and number recognition!
